Jacob Benigeri

I am a Business Intelligence Analyst at Riskonnect, where I have spent three and a half years building analytics tools for insurance companies. I manage over 100 client cases per year, turning raw data into dashboards and reports that support client decision-making across SQL, Power BI, Cognos, and Tableau. I hold a BS in Economics from the University of Chicago, where I learned to use statistical analysis and data to frame problems and make evidence-based decisions.

Outside of work, I build projects to develop my technical skills. I used Python to analyze whether video game prices in the European market have kept pace with inflation, cleaning and merging Steam sales data with Eurostat HICP indices, building a methodology to compare real versus nominal prices, and publishing the analysis as interactive notebooks on GitHub. More recently, I experimented with LLM coding assistants and built my own demo of Zoom's hand gesture recognition feature, starting with rules-based landmark detection and training a random forest classifier to handle harder cases.

My goal is to pursue a master's degree to build at the intersection of AI, data systems, and human decision-making.
